Refuse to Work with Client in Financial Distress

At the time we opened our account, we had not difficulty with the payments. However, about two years after opening the account, we experienced serious medical issues, and our living arrangements changed (unemployed child and family moved in increasing household from two to six), putting a serious strain on our monthly income. I called Customer Service and explained our situation, and requested a hardship payment plan for the immediate future. I was told they did not do such but I could have a reduced payment for three months. After three months, I would have to make regular payments for six months before I could apply for another three-month reduction. Common sense should indicate that a situation such as ours is not going to miraculously improve in three months time. Why not reassess the total balance due, work out a payment plan to pay down the account. I have closed the account, and have paid down to approximately $1,300.00, but am still in a situation whereby I can not make the monthly payment of $250.00. I could easily make $150.00, but no, they will not work with me. My situation is gradually improving -- our child is now employed -- but I am behind on my account with little promise of being able to pay the past due amount and this will go on my credit record and they will gladly spend money to hire a collection agency to worry the life out of me, and I already have enough about which to worry that is really important; I don't need harassing telephone calls added. Bottom line -- I will never deal with Marks and Morgan or any other Sterling Jewelry company.

Have been trying to contact a supervisor..was married last Saturday with no help from your employees who told my husband not once but twice that they had a ring coming he had picked only to find out twice they didn't know what they were doing and that the second ring he had to pick wasnt coming even though they had put a rush on it..and we found this out 2 days before our wedding. If I had employees working in my company who gave such poor customer service as these employees in your port charlotte store i would like to know about it. Shady business, no working security cameras. I'm an active duty military and was home from a tour overseas and came there to purchase two pair of earrings. The transaction went smoothly. I returned a pair because one of the diamonds came out and to get the other pair cleaned. One of my earrings were stolen by a worker and the manager didn't do anything to try to resolve it. I made multiple trips to the Douglaville location and the manager and sales associates were not helpful at all. After replacing the diamond in the second pair of my earrings, they misplaced them, then gave me two different size earrings.

I took my engraved wedding set in to get sized up. For 2 1/2 months they kept messing my rings up....loosing diamonds, loose settings, scratches, & refusing to re-engrave. It has been a nightmare. I will never go there again.

I will never shop there again I purchased a charm for my chain the bale was too small the salesman forced the bale on my chain I got it home and the bale broke. I ordered the charm out of the catalog and was told if the bale was too small they would get one to fix it now they are saying I had to pay more.

I was just wanted people to know how disappointed me and my husband are with Marks and Morgan. We bought a wedding ring for our 30th anniversary on August 5 2015 and in a week a diamond fell out so we took it back and they order another ( but didn't get to wear it on our anniversary and it was August 21). Several weeks later we got the other back and guess what happen another diamond fell out. Called customer service and let me tell u what a joke they are. Was told all we could do was to settle for another ring which costed more. When that ring come in it had a dark stone right in the center of diamond. Reorder same ring after a couple of weeks waiting picked up ring, wear it appr. 6 weeks and the diamond fell out to. Called customer service again and was told that all we could do was keep on exchange the ring. This is the 5th ring in 4 months. So please take our advice and never buy anything from Marks and Morgan in Knoxville Center.

My fiance purchased my engagement ring in October. In November we ordered our wedding rings, all 3 ring consisting of diamonds. We received them the beginning of December. After only 3 days of wearing his ring, a diamond fell out. We brought it back to the store, it was sent out for repair. After a couple weeks we got it back, he wore it a couple weeks and another stone had come out. Upset and displeased with the quality, the manager of the store ordered a ring custom made for my fiance.How come they didn't do that to begin with??? While waiting for his new ring, one of my stones had come out of my setting. I went back to the store, the manager custom ordered a setting for me. So a few weeks later, we both had custom fit rings. A few weeks later, went to the store to make a payment and decided to have all the rings cleaned while I was there. Well, as she was cleaning my ring, a stone came out of my fiancés ring and one small stone was missing from mine. Well, I had enough!! I called corporate for a solution. The customer service rep. phoned the store, the manager offered me a 100.00 gift certificate!! What a joke!! Needless to say I declined!! I called corporate back, and she contacted the area district manager via email to call me with resolution. At this point, I wanted to return them and go somewhere else. The district manager never called me so I followed up again after another stone fell out of my fiancés ring. Now which leads me to believe they have no desire to resolve my complaint. I called corporate again, giving the district manager 48 hours to call me or I will file a lawsuit. Very poor service from beginning until now!! We should have went to Jared!!

We had a great financing deal, so we set up auto pay. Then we got a letter in the mail saying that we were going to be sent to the creditors for lack of payment. We called and they said they tried to take the payment but the funds were not available. That alone couldn't be right. We called the bank and they said there was no record of any attempt from them to take a payment. So by missing that payment, my husband called and spoke with a lady that took the payment and said because it was the first mistake that it would not show up. But now we have a higher interest for "missing" that payment, and now 2 months later, they're doing it again. NO KIDDING! What a way to tarnish the romance of what is meant to be a symbol of love and commitment. Its becoming to feel like robbery and its making it uglier by the day.

Brought my watch in to get a new battery, while the sales person was changing the battery he dropped the watch on the floor, when I asked him what watch he dropped, he studded and said my wife's watch, but when he handed back my watch the second hand was not moving and now they want to charge me 300 dollars to fix it. Ordered a Mothers ring for Wife from myself and 4 kids.Ordered 5Dec.2014. Plenty of time. Got ring in went to pick it up had a chip in the saffire stone. Visable with naked eye.They were going to send it to be fixed then decided to order a new one.Never came in.upset the store Manager Dee at Haywood mall wood not even talk to me. I have been a marks and morgan customer for yrs.Here I am Christmas Morning no Mothers ring. The store is Haywood mall. Greenville.S.C. Don't know if I could return as a customer. Very Upset.

Had my Rings sent off to tighten diamond on my ring

My husband bought me a nice set of wedding rings from Marks and Morgan 2 years ago for my 15th wedding anniversary vow renewal well in april i had taken them to get them cleaned then the sales rep told me my big diamond was loose and was going to have it sent off to be fixed and they would be back in 2 weeks well 2 weeks came and went and i kept calling everyday to see if they were back yet after getting no answer on where my rings were they finally called me to let me know they had been checked back into the store but they could not find them any where instead of having cameras and security to make sure their employees are not walking out the door with other peoples jewelry the assistant manager tells me she is going to tell her supervisor what happened and they would replace my rings after all this i finally get my replacement rings which are lower quality then the ones i purchased and not trusting them any more i went to another jewelry store not affiliated with Kayes or Marks and Morgan she confirmed they are not the same quality and i was over charged by about 1500 which totally upset me so now my warranty will be voided on my rings because i will never go back to Marks and Morgan ever not even for a ring cleaning they have lost a loyal customer and i think they should invest in cameras and start investigating their employees because i would more then half the jewelry lost is due to employee theft not just being lost if i could fight them in court they would have a lawsuit against them in a heart beat i am very unhappy with the rings they replaced mine for same set but way lower quality mine rings had a fire and brilliance that danced in the sun light these new rings could not sparkle if you added glitter to them I am so done with them i will never ever ever buy from Marks and Morgan or Kayes because they are the same company And they could care less about their customers all they care about is how much money they can make by over charging their customers and replaces lost jewelry with lesser quality and after all that the asst. manager tells me she has my back yeah right the only thing they did was offered me a 50 gift card that has to used at their store which i never received and i would not use any way because i will never purchase from them again and they were about as concerned about my rings as the man on the moon and their attitude was like oh well you got a new set deal with it but i should not have to feel like it was my fault that they are so careless with other peoples stuff and the employee who checked my rings in was never questioned about what they did with my rings and is still working there Marks and Morgan you are a billion dollar company invest in cameras and security and find out what is going on in your stores Your company really SUCKS and i will never ever again step foot in any of your stores

Maybe-will-be-back-by date???

I do not suggest getting any jewelry from Marks and Morgan. Apparently, their promise back guarantee date is not a guarantee and therefore is just a date. A kind of, sorta, maybe-will-be-back-by date. This is seriously ridiculous. What's the definition of GUARANTEE again? So, I will be attending both of my bridal showers without my engagement ring because Marks and Morgan does not value their customers. No, I do not want a gift card because of your mistake. I want my engagement ring!!! I will not purchase anything else from Marks and Morgan. You, Marks and Morgan, have lost a valuable customer due to your lack of customer service. Oh, and by the way, I have literally been on the phone with this "company" for forty-five minutes. Oh, the joys of dealing with Marks and Morgan.

Purchased a watch that does not do as it was promoted, now they wont exchange it.

Purchased an eco drive watch for my husband for Christmas. Face of watch was supposed to have hands that illuminated. It does not illuminate, face of watch is black, cannot see it to tell the time on in the dark. Sales person said it was a pilots watch to be seen even in the dark. We took it back after Christmas. They told us to take it back home and put it in the sunlight. We did, does not stay illuminated. We took it back, and guess what!! Sorry, too late, you cannot return or exchange. Emailed and called corporate, they have not intention of helping us either!! So I now have a $500 watch sitting in a box. Anyone want to buy a watch you cannot see the time on?????
